The INTEGRAL R, 100% Toulousain aircraft
The INTEGRAL R, the fruit of innovation and new technologies, combines power and elegance. This two-seater aerobatic and training aircraft boasts remarkable performance.
Its manufacturer is the Toulouse company Aura Aero. It develops two-seater aircraft designed for aerobatics, pilot training, and leisure travel, as well as a hybrid-electric propulsion regional transport aircraft. Based at Francazal airport in Cugnaux, Aura Aero was founded in August 2018 by former Airbus engineers Jérémy Caussade, president, and two associates, Fabien Raison and Wilfried Dufaud. By the end of 2023, it had raised 55 million euros since its creation and had become an SME with 250 employees. It plans another fundraising round "of several hundred million euros" in 2024, intended for the development of a hybrid-electric regional transport aircraft and the construction of a 50,000 square meter factory on the Toulouse-Francazal site for series production.
The first flight of the INTEGRAL R took place in July 2020. Flight tests resumed, after some modifications, on a second prototype on November 23, 2023. Its engine, with a power of 210 hp, allows it a maximum speed of 360 km/h (224 mph).
