X65, Sup-Aéro70, CT pilot, armament engineer, he has embarked on a career as an innovator and experimenter, addressing multiple aspects of physics. Called to Cologne, he successfully led the ETW (European Transonic Windtunnel) wind tunnel project. At ONERA, he directed major testing facilities until 2003, when he was appointed General Technical Director, a position he held until 2011.
