→ Poster by Bernard CadèneBy landing with their small single engine, the young pilots certainly imagine performing the same maneuver at the controls of an A380. Is it that easy? The answer is yes, although there are some slight differences due to the aircraft's inertia and the pilot's position more than ten meters above the ground before the flare. On the other hand, the take-off procedures for a transport aircraft differ from those for a light aircraft because it is essential to prevent an engine failure from causing an accident. This book explains the similarities and differences between the operations of a single engine and those of a jumbo jet like the A380: piloting, preparation, flight management, training, aircraft design and of course everything related to safety.
